IndusInd Bank Debit Cards to Offer Airport Lounge Access on ₹5,000 Quarterly Spend – Starting July 2025

Similar to the changes for the RBL Bank Credit Card airport lounge access program, IndusInd Bank has also introduced a spend-based requirement for complimentary lounge access with its debit cards. This move aligns with other industry partners, as more banks and credit card issuers are starting to implement spend-based criteria for airport lounge access.

Spend ₹5,000 to Access Airport Lounges With IndusInd Bank Debit Cards

Starting from 1st July 2025, spend ₹5,000 or more in the previous quarter to access airport lounges with the following IndusInd Bank Debit Cards.

  • VISA Signature Select Debit Cards
  • VISA Signature Partner Debit Cards
  • Mastercard World Select Debit Cards
  • VISA Signature Exclusive Debit Cards
  • Mastercard World Exclusive Debit Cards

For newly onboarded IndusInd Bank Debit Cardholders, free airport lounge access will be available without any conditions for the first two calendar quarters following the card issuance date. For example, if cardholders receive their new debit card on April 10, 2025, they shall be eligible for complimentary lounge access until September 30, 2025. However, for the subsequent calendar quarter (October – December 2025), the complimentary airport lounge benefit will only be valid if they spend a minimum of ₹5,000 between June 26 and September 25, 2025.

No changes shall be applicable for Grande World, Signature Pioneer, World Pioneer, Infinite Pioneer, Infinite Solitaire, Infinite Pioneer Private, Signature Care, and Platinum Carat Debit Cards. Check Complete Changes Here

Indusind Bank Debit Card Airport Lounge Access Changes

Bottom Line

Considering that many debit and credit cards now come with similar spending requirements for complimentary airport lounge access, this move by IndusInd Bank is not entirely unexpected. However, it will still be seen as a devaluation by many users. Some are already reporting issues with accessing Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) movie offers on IndusInd Bank Debit Cards, and now, lounge access will also require meeting a quarterly spending milestone.

This change poses a challenge for users who hold multiple credit and debit cards, as it becomes increasingly difficult to manage spending across various cards just to retain key benefits. That said, for those who already use their IndusInd Bank debit cards regularly, the ₹5,000 quarterly spend requirement is relatively easy to achieve.
